The finale of the Freelancer saga, and the conclusion to the last ten years of Red vs Blue story, Season 10 answers the last linger questions, including the one that has been hanging over this series from the very beginning.
The last truly great piece of storytelling Rooster Teeth ever wrote, Season 10 is everything you could hope for in a series finale…even if it’s not the TRUE finale.
But we all know it is.
One of the things that still gets to me at the end of this season is the idea of “letting go.” By the end Chruch never learns to let go, and while I’ll admit I can understand why, they also remove agency from him. By the end Carolina has to let go for him because he is an AI and can’t really do anything for himself. In a way it takes away from the character.

He learns to let go of Tex, but in the end, letting go of the hatred for the Director is a step he can’t take. Too much water under the bridge. It’s harder to let go of that level of hatred, I suppose.
That’s just my way of looking at it.
